Good morning/afternoon everyone! I hope you all had amazing weeks and had a relaxing weekend to get ready for the next seven days. Honestly, what a crazy, fun past week! I feel like it went by both slowly and too quickly at the same time if that makes any sense. My weekend was filled with so much laughter, food and running around that it only felt like a day. I love that it was filled with family, friends and autumnal activities. I’m not sure if I succeeded with my goals, but I’m happy with how my week went because I never felt sad or anxious.
With that said, let’s check out last week’s goals to see how I did:
Try to get more sleep! Four hours is definitely NOT enough
Well, I definitely succeeded with this. I’ve been trying out a few different apps and other tips and tricks to see how I can improve my sleep. I can’t wait to share with you guys what I’ve done to go from four hours to almost eight! I have to be honest, getting to bed earlier isn’t always an option, but I think I’ve found a way that works for me.
Now that I have some packing to do, it looks like I need to clean out my closet and figure out what I need to bring and what I can leave
Alright so I’ve kind of been doing this over the past couple of weeks, which is good. I’ve been cleaning out and organizing what I need to bring with me on my move (!) and what I can leave at home. However, it’s not always the easiest thing. I’ll be following my advice a little more closely from now on.
Read! I have not taken enough time this past week to actually read more than five pages in one sitting, probably because I’ve been so tired
I totally dropped the ball on this one, but I’ve realized that I’ve been reading more about what’s going on in the world than getting lost in my novels. I think that paying attention to current events is obviously important, so I’m actually okay that I’ve spent more time reading the newspaper (I know, the physical newspaper) rather than my book.
Keep going to the gym, even when I don’t feel very confident or secure
Last week I wrote about how you can feel more confident when going to the gym. That’s because I needed to kick myself in the butt a little more when it came to just getting inside. It’s definitely helped, and I even have pushed myself to go in my basement and walk on the treadmill when I can’t make it to a class. So this is definitely a win for me.
So what’s on tap for this week? Let’s check it out:
- Take more pictures! I have not been taking many photos recently (hence why my Instagram has been super spread out) so I need to pick it up again!
- Get my Halloween costume together! I’m so excited for my costume this year as I had to follow a theme for a karaoke party I’m going to.
- Write down my favorite quotes about health to stay motivated while trying to get it in order, especially with all of the candy coming my way.
- I desperately need to stretch more! I think this is something that isn’t stressed enough when you work out on your own. I’m starting my search for the best stretches!
What are you guys up to this week? Let me know! As always, have an amazing week and look out for some fun posts coming your way!
